Child Advocacy Project
The Child Advocacy Project (CAP) is a Pro Bono Law Ontario registered project dedicated to protecting and enhancing the legal rights of children and youth (18 and under) across Ontario. It provides free legal services to children and youth, and the opportunity for lawyers to make a noticeable difference in their lives. They can help with school and litigation matters.
CAP is a partnership between the legal clinic, Justice For Children & Youth (www.jfcy.org) and the lawyers of the Advocate's Society (www.advsoc.on.ca). CAP's Pro Bono Coordinator matches cases forwarded by JFCY with Advocate's Society lawyers, who have kindly agreed to donate their time and expertise. Members of the Advocate's society are all litigators with experience in many legal areas. They can help young people with support issues, personal injury and many of the other areas that affect young people. PBLO ensures the program functions efficiently by providing guidance, resources and support.
